In support of documentary photography, we are introducing artists whose work reflects the Galerie’s artistic ambitions. Ernst Haas is acclaimed as one of the most celebrated and influential photographers of the 20th century and considered one of the pioneers of color photography. Vivian Maier’s work, never before exhibited in Photofair Shanghai, reveales her unique eye and her talent for portraits and street scenes. The photographs of Stephane Couturier are all about transformation, a subject he explores with a strong sense of design and composition and a specific sense of color. Sabine Weiss, the last living example of a whole generation of photographers called humanists, spent sixty years travelling the world and photographed untiringly the streets of Paris.
